Christmas Gift Ideas 1, Make-up or stationary brush holder

So for my first Christmas gift idea I have chosen a DIY on how to make simple Brush holders. These can be for make-up brushes or even stationary.
The project is really simple, extremly fun to do and doesn't take long at all to complete.

These are the things you will need:

The result, beautiful brush holders that you can store on your vanity or wherever you keep your makeup. Or with stationary items on that you can store on your desk at home or at work.
Your colleges will be jealous, so make them for there desks as well!!!

Obvisouly everybody has different tastes but the great thing about this DIY is that you can customised it to the person you are making them for.

Give it a go, tweet me your photos!!!

Please watch the video below to see how I created them :-)

Monu Illuminating Primer SPF15

This week I have been testing out the Monu Illuminating Primer.
This was one of the items in my October GlossyBox and I was very keen to try it out. I have been using it for over a week now and I must say I am thrilled with the results. I have tried so many primers, from drugstore to high end and this comes in my top three.

A little bit about the primer:
This primer is formulated with light reflective particles known as Mica which instantly brightens the complexion and adds a sheen and radiance to the skin which looks amazing on its own or under make-up.
The soft focus technology gives the appearance of smoother skin and gives a flawless finish.
It contains Vitamin E, an antioxidant which fights free radicals.

How I used it:
After I washed my face, cleansed and toned, I applied my moisturiser and let that sink into my skin. I then applied a pea sized amount of primer and gently applied it to my face and neck. The texture is quite thick but feels lovely on the skin and immediately brightens the face.
I then apply my foundation using the F22 HD Dome face brush from Blank Canvas Cosmetics. The foundation goes on lovely over the primer and after wearing it all day the foundation stayed on my face. I was amazed as I have tried so many primers claiming they keep your foundation on all day and night.
I would defiantly recommend purchasing this primer, after I have used up my trial size I am going to buy myself one.
I am very impressed!!!!

Monu Illuminating Primer retails at £24.95.

If you would like to try this primer out for yourself I have included the website below:

Summer 2013 Haul

Summer 2013 Haul

I recently went on a shopping trip and picked up some lovely items that I thought I would share with you.
Some of the items I purchased online, and I will have details of where I got them.

Above is a palette from a company called Blank Canvas Cosmetics.
It consists of two contour shades, a highlight shade, a powder and two blushes.
This palette is truly amazing and I can't recommend it enough.
The colours are highly pigmented so a little goes a long way and they stay on the face all day.
The pink blush has a slight shimmer to it and the orange/coral colour is more matte.
Overall a great palette to have.

http://www.blankcanvascosmetics.com/products/6-contour-powder-blush-palette-2.html

I bought the above item in Superdrug and its the Sleek MakeUP POUT POLISH.
This is in the shade Electro Peach and it is so creamy and pigmented it glides on the lips effortlessly.
These are a bargain at £4.49.
It is a tinted lip conditioner that feels like a lip balm but gives a high gloss colour.

Another product from Sleek Make-up is this blush in Flushed.
This is a beautiful colour on the cheeks, you only need a small amount as it is really pigmented.
The cost of this is £4.49 a real bargain for a highly pigmented blush.

To check out more items from my haul including clothes that I have purchased please check out my youtube video.

I hope you enjoy watching it, please subscribe for further videos :-)

Thank you xxx

Miss England 2013

Miss England 2013 finals were held in Torbay in the South West of England and I was lucky enough to be asked to be a Make-up Artist for the girls.

I had the opportunity to do the makeup for Miss Rugby 2013 Lauren Grace Abbott.
It was lovely meeting Lauren she is a beautiful girl and it was a pleasure to do her make-up.

Maybelline Color show Nails Polka Dot Collection Review

More nail polishes Candice....really?? hehe!!

I recently went in to my local Boots store and was looking at all the makeup like I do every week, maybe twice a week, ummm ok so maybe more times then that. But anyway, I came across these amazing nail polishes from Maybelline and was totally transfixed on them.

At only £2.99 YES £2.99 these are a bargain!!

There are four shades in the collection, Chalk dust, Shooting stars, Rain forest canopy and Speckled pink.

I chose Rain forest canopy and Speckled pink to try out, and boy am I in love with them.
They have a gel like consistency with different sized hexagonal glitter in shades of black and white all in matte.
There is so much glitter in these that applying this makes it so easy, and although the polish is quite opaque it goes on so lovely.

I have used two coats of Speckled pink in the photos but you could keep layering it up to give more depth and dimension.

If you are like me, I love creating nail art on my nails, but sometimes I don't have the time and this for me is second best.

A really nice idea would be to use a similar colour nail colour and then layer on the polka dot varnish.

Apparently these are limited edition, so if you like what you see go out and purchase them now!!

Thank you for reading this post, I hope you enjoyed the review.
